New Clinic Location - NatMed - George St East Fremantle
I’m sure some of you have followed my progress in moving from Melbourne, and hoping to set up my very own clinic here in Perth. It has taken much longer to settle in than I expected but I have met some amazing practitioners, and I think it has worked out even better than I could have planned for!
I have officially moved into the NatMed clinic, in East Fremantle.
I’m loving working alongside naturopaths and Chinese medicine practitioners. It means patients who enter the clinic can be cared for by a number of practitioners to better achieve their health goals. There’s even a nurse practitioner who can perform all blood testing for you!
It’s that old age saying, do what you’re best at and outsource the rest. Well NatMed is exactly that. I’m able to focus on the brain and nervous system, and can quickly and easily refer to other practitioners who are experts in their fields.
What makes me different from other chiropractors?
Well for a start, there are no ‘traditional’ chiropractic adjustments when you see me. They are still called adjustments, or corrections, but you won’t be twisted and cracked, which I know is a fear for a lot of people. Others, they love the cracks! And that’s ok (but I’m probably not the right chiro for you).
When assessing your body, I search for signs of stress. Sounds cryptic, doesn’t it? The thing is your nervous system demonstrates pretty consistent changes depending how stressed it is. And unfortunately, chronic stress alters the nervous system significantly (I don’t just mean emotional stress - I mean anything physical, biochemical or emotional). This in turn alters your health.
Once I’ve completed a full assessment, I sit down and put all the pieces together. This allows me to create a plan individualised to your nervous system. And then the fun begins!
Individual care plans are based on two things - one. what your nervous system is demonstrating during an examination, and two. how to help you get to your health goal ASAP (with the preference that any symptomatology is resolved, though this is never an 100% guarantee).
Once a care plan has been recommended, the best part is they are one hundred and ten percent FLUID. Your system may change faster, or slower, or exactly as predicted. I might find you need more nutritional support, or biochemical support, or maybe you need a few sessions of acupuncture before we progress any further. The benefit and convenience is that all practitioners in NatMed collaborate frequently, so you get all your natural health needs in one location.
My chiropractic treatments involve working through muscles/ligaments/joint dysfunction, and removing any aberrant input into the brain that may be related to your overall stress.
