This Movement Meditation is perfect for calming the nervous system with a self-soothing somatic practice for reconnection.

Perfect for when you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, this gentle embodiment exercise will guide and support you to sense into your body and sensations. Designed for feeling deeply grounded and connected to the present moment.

Ashleigh has created it with an intention to be a more physical and embodied guided meditation, which is perfect for anyone who is feeling very dysregulated and struggling to sit still and focus.

Beginners will also find this type of meditation a great way to ease gently into the practice. So, even if you have struggled with meditation in the past, please do try this one and see how it feels!

Why meditate?

Meditation is one of the most successful techniques you can use to create space for deep relaxation and self-regulation. Studies show that regular practice can reduce stress, promote restful sleep, and reduce fatigue and fog-brain.

For millennia, the practices of meditation has been utilised to cultivate inner peace, clarity of mind, self-awareness and compassion. With meditation, one may learn how to reconnect with their felt senses and innate embodied wisdom. The practice of observing thoughts and feelings lay the foundations for fundamental change and personal growth.

A trauma-informed approach can also support people with anxiety and mood disorders, boost self-esteem and positive outlook, and reduce feelings of depression.

Benefits of meditation and mindfulness include:

  • Relief from stress and sensory overload

  • Less reactivity and more conscious responding

  • Enhanced self-awareness

  • Self-compassion and esteem

  • Increased sense of peace and calm

  • Emotional stability and nervous system regulation
